Jim Thornbro
Founder

Jim Thornbro started his first company, Consumers Financial Services, Inc. in 1973. The company was founded as a specialty insurance agency servicing the automobile industry. He built the agency over 7 years to 1 million dollars in premium per month. He sold it in 1980 to Borg Warner Insurance Services.

After taking some time off, Mr. Thornbro went to work for MAI Basic Four, a mini computer manufacturer. At MAI he managed the Washington/Baltimore branches as well as MAI’s South Eastern Regional Dealer organization. During his term there, sales were increased by over 100%, and Mr. Thornbro was responsible for winning MAI Basic Four’s first contract with the US Government. 

He then went to work for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as the Federal Civilian Agencies Branch Manager. Mr. Thornbro managed the bids team and sales staff which were responsible for winning and administering several large government contracts.

In 1993 Jim Thornbro saw a need in the market for an organization to connect the manufacturers of computer components on the Pacific Rim with Distributors and Government Integrators in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

 

William Schwickrath
Director, Major Accounts

Bill is responsible for developing new business with major accounts and developing new lines of business for the Company. Bill is involved in all aspects of the sales cycle, including contract negotiations, developing pricing strategies and managing channel sales operations for vendor partners. Bill has over 31 years of experience in Federal sales, operations and finance in the computer industry with companies that include Digital Equipment, Compaq, and HP. Bill managed the Federal Third Party Procurement function for 18 years prior to his retirement from HP in 2010, and he brings to RT Sales a wealth of experience in third party product procurement in the Federal marketplace.

Bill holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and a graduate degree in Decision Sciences.
